You are invited to participate in the 2nd National Conference & the 1st International Conference on Extensive Reading, to be held at Ulaanbaatar city. The Conference is co-hosted by Extensive Reading Foundation (ERF). Lingors LLC will host a book fair at the conference.

Board member at Extensive Reading Foundation.                 With over 20 years in extensive reading and international English - language teaching materials, Irene founded PERC Extensive Reading Club in Beijing in 2018. Since then, PERC has worked with thousands of Chinese teachers to explore extensive reading practices.

Ninj-Erdene Khurel

Chair of the board of Mongolian Extensive Reading Association| Vice president of English Language Teachers' Association of Mongolia, Advisor of Jet School.  She has been teaching the English language since 2005, internationally and locally.  Ninj-Erdene is a TEDx speaker,  an author of the EnglishPowered series, and a children’s illustrated book titled ” I Love My Family.” Besides her passion for writing.

Call for Proposals

Presenters may submit the abstract in accordance with the following sub-themes which will be easy to select sessions. The sub-Themes are;

Scholarships

Application Information
The Mongolian Extensive Reading Association (MERA) is pleased to announce its scholarship program for the National Conference on Extensive Reading, to be held 11-12 October, 2025 in Ulaanbaatar

 Objective of the ERF Scholarship Program
The purpose of this scholarship is to promote the Extensive Reading approach and its tools, those are effective in use of the English learning In Mongolia. Therefore, we invite teachers and scholars who might not be able to attend “ ER the 2nd National Conference” due to financial issues, to apply for a scholarship in order to take part in the event for his/her own professional development and for the future promotion of Extensive Reading in his/her hometown. Scholarships will provide (500,000MNT) transportation, a small per diem, for the conference. Applications are welcome from remote part of the country such as Bayan-Ulgii or Zavkhan province conforming to the following criteria.

Qualifications
A record of involvement with Extensive Reading
Actively using an Extensive Reading or Extensive Listening approach in the classroom; OR
Having a record of presentations or research publications concerning Extensive Reading; OR
Having contributed to the MERA or Lingors’ activities, for example, Reading Marathons, ER clubs, Whole Class Readers’ events

Residence of the province can be a local residence’s ID card which prove him/her from the remote province Bayan-Ulgii 1279 km (767.4 mile) or Zavkhan 1023km (613 mile) 

Deadline for submissions: All documents including the recommendation must be submitted by 23:59 of August 10, 2025, UB time.
Notification of results: August 30, 2025
